LAS VEGAS, DIGITAL EXPERIENCE AT CES, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/—Building on the success of its award-winning TravelDrive(TM) family of USB flash drives, Memorex, a portfolio brand of Imation Corp (NYSE:IMN) , today launched a comprehensive line of flash memory cards. The new Memorex TravelCard(TM) family includes an Imation-developed Dual-Interface card featuring both Secure Digital (SD) and USB connectivity, as well as the most popular formats and capacities of flash memory for use with digital cameras, digital video camcorders, MP3 players and mobile phones.

Leading the TravelCard family is Memorex’s Dual-Interface card, a Secure Digital card that integrates USB connectivity, an innovative technology developed and patented by Imation Corp. With the convenient combination of SD and USB connectivity, consumers can use the Dual-Interface TravelCard in a camera, for example, then plug it directly into a computer’s USB port to download images, eliminating the need for a flash card reader. Available with 1GB and 2GB of capacity, the SD plus USB Dual-Interface TravelCard features a retractable USB connector for maximum compatibility when transferring pictures, videos and favorite tunes on the go.

According to Gartner Dataquest(1), the worldwide flash card market is expected to reach more than 450 million units by 2008. Forecasted to be among the leading formats are SD, Micro SD and MultiMediaCard (MMC) Micro, which are now available from Memorex. The TravelCard family of flash cards includes:
