Minox has announced an addition to its Classic Camera Collection - the Minox DCC 5.0 White Edition. The DCC has been designed in white for this new special edition and comes in a black, satin-lined wooden box with brass trim. There is an optical viewfinder on board, though there is no mention of an actual rangefinder being coupled to it. You can also use the 1.5” rear screen for composition and checking focus. The Minox DCC 5.0 White Edition has 128MB of internal memory but can also record images on SD or SDHC cards of up to 16GB in capacity. The lens is a 42mm-equivalent f/2 Minoctar. The camera is compatible with the Minox Classic Camera Flash. The MINOX Digital Classic Camera 5.0 White Edition is available from specialist dealers from October 2009.

The MINOX DCC 5.0 White Edition

By presenting miniaturized versions of classic rangefinder cameras from the Fifties – with modern digital technology on the inside – MINOX has superbly demonstrated how classic cameras of the past can be revived. The MINOX Digital Classic Camera 5.0 White Edition excels with the innovative technology of modern digital cameras and a 5 million pixel resolution. The MINOX DCC is a fascinating and unique synthesis of classic and modern features. The concept behind the White Edition is simply the MINOX philosophy that focuses on the perfect and high-precision miniaturization of high-end technology together with a refreshing touch of extravagance and style. The DCC has been designed in white for this new special edition and comes in a black, satin-lined wooden box with brass trim. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology the DCC delivers pin-sharp images that are rich in detail with natural color rendition.

Functional components such as the 1.5 inch TFT color monitor have been ingeniously integrated in this small masterpiece and maintain the unique nostalgic charm of the camera. All data are stored in an internal 128 MB memory and on external SD memory cards. The power supply comes from a replaceable Lithium-Ion battery.

The user-friendly operation and extremely compact dimensions make the digital MINOX Classic Camera a permanent companion for every occasion - always ready to capture snapshots and pictures for sharing memories: a digital notebook with exclusive looks!

In addition to the satin-lined wooden box the scope of delivery includes a Lithium-Ion battery, USB cable and the operator’s manual. The MINOX Digital Classic Camera 5.0 White Edition is available from specialist dealers from October 2009.
