The Renault MSA young photographer of the year award has been scooped up by 19 year old midlands based photographer, Dom Romney. The judging panel particularly liked the unusual composition and strong use of colour, as evidenced in the photo that accompanies this article. Not only does Dom get to join the prestigious ranks of winners of the Renault MSA Young Motor sport photographer of the year, but he also gets £1,000. This years Renault MSA young photographer of the year award has been scooped up by the 19 year old midlands based photographer, Dom Romney.

Specialising in Drag Racing Dom produced a strong set of images from the sport, the judging panel particularly liked the unusual composition and strong use of colour.

“I really didn’t expect to win but what a great way to end 2009 and start 2010, I hope it’s a sign of things to come"said Dom.

Not only does Dom get to join the prestigious ranks of winners of the Renault MSA Young Motor sport photographer of the year, but he also gets £1,000 and will be presented with his prize and trophy at the MSA Night of Champions in January.
