Mute is an upcoming exhibition of haunting dog portraits by Martin Usborne at East London gallery theprintspace. The collection consists of eight large-scale prints of dogs looking out of car windows. theprintspace’s Cathy Eck said, “This exhibition is an unusual treat for dog lovers and photography fans alike, with a really impressive collection of images. The mournful look in the dogs’ eyes really stops you in your tracks, a must-see.“ The exhibition opens on 21 October 2010 and runs until 9 November.

Dogs In Hot Cars

LONDON, UK Award winning photographer Martin Usborne will unveil a solo exhibition of haunting dog portraits at leading East London gallery theprintspace this October.

The collection, called Mute, consists of eight large-scale prints of dogs looking out of car windows in the dead of night.

The exhibition is not your usual pet portraiture but takes a serious look at feelings of loneliness and isolation both in relation to animals but also humans.  10% of proceeds from print orders go to the Dogs Trust. All images were produced at theprintspace’s own high-quality studios.

Mute opens at theprintspace gallery at 74 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch on Thursday, 21st October 2010 7pm-10pm with refreshments provided. The exhibition then continues until 9th November, Monday-Friday 9am-7pm. Admission free.
