The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) have announced the winners of the Nature’s Surprises Competition. Michel Hagege from France was chosen as the winner from over 590 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘Storm’ (above). Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says, “This image was chosen because of its strong composition with a clearly defined point of interest, and shows the emotion in this atmospherically captured moment.” Csaba Tóth from Hungary and Bridgena Barnard from South Africa have been announced as runners-up in the competition.

Nature’s Surprises Photography Competition Winners Announced

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Nature’s Surprises Competition.

For this competition photographers were asked to submit any image which showed great technique and excellence from good lighting, exposure and compositional elements.

Michel Hagege from Magny les Hameaux, France was chosen as the winner from over 590 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘Storm’.

Michel has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP). Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says, “This image was chosen because of its strong composition with a clearly defined point of interest, and shows the emotion in this atmospherically captured moment.”

He continues, “The competition had a very high standard which made judging very difficult, the range of entries was very broad and we have seen everything from the tiniest bugs to greatest beasts, along with superb landscapes and nature images”

The runners up Csaba Tóth from Budapest and Bridgena Barnard from South Africa have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
