HP UK Press Release

Quality Photo Printing At Home from Just 23p Per Print

New HP Photo Packs offer high quality, affordable photo printing from the convenience of your own home

LONDON, UK, July 11, 2005 - A range of new HP Photo Packs that will enable customers to create professional quality photographs, at the lowest cost per print from the comfort of their own homes is being announced by HP today.

Each HP Photo Pack contains a customized tri-colour inkjet print cartridge together with the ideal amount of HP photo paper to print a specified number of clear, bright photographs from as little as 23p per print1.

A range of five HP Photo Packs will be readily available at major retail outlets from today. Customers requiring 343/344 series cartridges can choose between packs containing 13x18cm or 10x15cm sheets of HP Premium Photo Paper.

In addition, more experienced or professional users will be able to purchase HP Photo Packs containing both a customized tri-colour cartridge and a Vivera photo inkjet print cartridge, as well as HP Premium Plus Photo Paper to create the optimum results. When used with HP photo printers, the HP Premium Plus Photo Paper and HP’s Vivera 6 ink technology enables users to print the very highest quality images which are guaranteed to provide fade resistance for up to 108 years.2

HP Photo Packs are also available with 57/58 series cartridges so that customers using older HP hardware can still enjoy the benefits of good quality home photo printing.

Each pack also includes HP Image Zone Express Photo Software which will allow users of all levels of experience to carry out simple digital enhancements, such as removing red eye or making light adjustments.

“The main benefits of HP Photo Packs is that customers know exactly what they are getting for their money and can produce professional quality photographs with very little effort,” says Kerry Hogarth, HP IPG Supplies Manager, UK. “By combining the amount of ink in the cartridges with the ideal amount of paper, customers will know if they are purchasing the ability to print 60, 100 or 120 photos. This saves them from having to calculate the cost of ink and paper separately and is a hassle-free way to buy what they need to print photos from home.”

She concludes: “The Photo Packs are designed to show customers that they don’t have to sacrifice quality to enjoy cost benefits and convenience of printing from home.”
