Olympus have created a bespoke messenger camera bag by Gillis London ready to launch at The Photography Show (TPS) 2017. With very limited production, the new bag has been designed specifically for the new OM-D E-M1 Mark II. Gillis London has selected a high-quality vintage leather to hand-craft each bag. The infusion of oil during the tanning process makes the leather supple and produces unique colour variations. This results in each bag having an individual look much like a fingerprint. Inside you will find two separate removable trays with quilted lining and protective separator panels. Each tray has been measured to fit the camera body and additional lenses. There is an external zip on the top of the bag so that quick access is available. The Olympus messenger camera bag by Gillis London has an RRP of £299.99, but customers purchasing an OM-D E-M1 Mark II at TPS will receive the bag free of charge. Limited stock will be available from the Olympus stand on a first-come-first served basis.

Olympus Press Release

Launch of the Olympus messenger camera bag by Gillis London at TPS

London, 20 March 2017 – Olympus have created a bespoke messenger camera bag by Gillis London ready to launch at TPS 2017.

With very limited production the new bag has been designed specifically for the new OM-D E-M1 MKII and includes features to support the camera, lenses and professionals who use the kit.

Customers can expect premium quality expected from the brands collaborating so that the camera and bag complement each other perfectly.

Gillis London has selected a high quality vintage leather to handcraft each bag. The infusion of oil during the tanning process makes the leather supple and produces unique colour variations. This results in each bag having an individual look much like a fingerprint. In essence every owner will have a bag unique to that person.

Olympus have also selected a new 100% cotton lining for the bespoke bag to add some brand colours via sophisticated blue and off white stripes, plus added stitching and the Olympus logo on the pad of the removable shoulder strap.

Ease of use was a priority when developing the messenger bag and the side opening allows easy access. This is a feature used in other Gillis London products often to accommodate a tripod, however due to the image stabilization in the Olympus OM-D cameras and thus no need for tripods, this access has been altered to support additional lenses.

Inside you will find two separate removable trays with quilted lining and protective separator panels. Each tray has been measured to fit the camera body and additional lenses. There is an external zip on the top of the bag so that quick access is available, ideal for photo journalism.

The OM-D’s lightweight solution chosen by so many professional photographers is ideal for travel and the bespoke bag completes the package. Simply remove one of the trays to allow clothing and toothbrush or just pack more lenses and keep both trays.

The bag also features a laptop pocket and zipped front pockets, ideal for passports and travel documents.

Customers purchasing the OM-D E-M1 MKII at TPS will be eligible for the Olympus messenger bag by Gillis London to complement their kit. Limited stock will be available from the Olympus stand on a first come first served basis and it will also be available to view.

The Olympus messenger camera bag by Gillis London RRP £299.99 however customers purchasing an OM-D E-M1 MKII at TPS will receive the bag free of charge. Simply visit Olympus stand with proof of purchase from the show and take your bag away to carry and protect your new kit.
