Lexmark delivers its fastest speeds yet with new inkjet printers and All-in-Ones

—New ink technology allows for long-lasting photo output—

Lexmark International, the printer manufacturer, today unveiled new printers and All-In-One (AIO) products to satisfy an array of consumers, from home users printing photos to small office/home office (SOHO) professionals seeking colour-enhanced documents.

Introducing new ink technology
Lexmark?s new ink technology combines for the first time dye based and pigmented inks. Using this colour system together with Lexmark?s Premium Glossy Photo paper, consumers can achieve a wide colour gamut and print brilliant photos with vibrant colours that match the archiveability of traditional film processing (silver halide). This technology resists fading from light, enabling consumers to preserve cherished photographs.

Hybrid machine for SOHO and at-home users ? Lexmark X5250 Advanced All-In-One
Featuring Lexmark?s new ink technology, the X5250 boasts photo capabilities with optional six-colour borderless printing, along with a robust feature set ? making it suitable for creative consumers and home office users on either a Windows or Mac platform. With the fastest print speeds in its class, the X5250 can print up to 14 pages per minute (ppm) in colour and can generate up to 20 ppm in black ? perfect for quickly producing memos and reports. The 48-bit flatbed colour scanner captures the finest details, and one-touch photocopying is perfect for creative projects.

The X2250 is targeted towards the frequent home user featuring PC free multiple copy in both colour and black, plus fast print speeds of 15ppm in black and 8ppm in colour with high quality printing at 4800 x 1200 dpi.

The X1180 has been introduced to replace one of the best selling AIO?s in 2003, the X1150. With print speeds of 14ppm in black and 8ppm in colour plus up to 4800 x 1200 dpi for great print quality, the X1180 is ideal for personal printing, scanning and copying needs.

Powerful Inkjet for Photo Enthusiasts ? Lexmark Z815 Colour Inkjet Printer
For those in search of a dedicated inkjet printer, the Z815 is a versatile solution for Windows and Mac users. Featuring borderless printing, colour drop sizes as small as three picoliters for the highest quality detail, and the new ink technology, the Z815 is equipped to produce photos of a stunning quality. SOHO USERS ? Lexmark?s new Fax MultiFunction Range ? X4250 / F4270
Lexmark are pleased to announce 2 new Fax MultiFunction products designed for demanding SOHO professionals, the X4250 and F4270, both of which offer a compact solution that accommodates a wide variety of needs. Both products replace four pieces of office equipment: fax, colour printer, colour copier and scanner ? plus the F4270 also has an attached phone handset ensuring an even more compact desktop solution.

Both products feature best-in-class black print speeds of up to 19 ppm and fast colour speeds of up to 10 ppm, standalone fax functionality with a 33.6K modem, 79 speed dial settings, and a fax broadcast function that allows users to cut down on administrative time. In addition, the fax-forward function is ideal for telecommuters who split their time between two locations and seek the ability to receive rerouted faxes.
