Intro 2020 Press Release

From 13th February 2006, the distribution of Metz flashguns and accessories will be handed over to Intro 2020 Limited. Hasselblad (UK) Limited has successfully distributed Metz products for over twenty years in the UK.  However, as the Metz range continues to develop within a broader marketplace than before, Hasselblad’s own development remains firmly rooted in the professional market.  Distribution and service of the Metz product line has therefore been passed to Intro 2020 Limited who is well equipped to service Metz customers in the UK.

Simon Barnard, Managing Director of Hasselblad UK states “We have had a long, happy and fruitful relationship with the Metz Company for many years.  Whilst it will be like losing an old friend, we are fully confident that, together with their other product lines, Intro 2020 Limited will be extremely well equipped to provide an excellent service to both the trade and end-users of Metz products.

Jim Mackay, Director General Manager of Intro 2020 Limited, comments “The introduction of Metz flashguns to Intro 2020’s existing product portfolio creates an opportunity for us to align flashgun sales with both Tamron lenses and Pentax cameras.

He also added that the history and following of the Metz product in the UK has been handled extremely well by Hasselblad and the two companies will be working closely to ensure a smooth and seamless change over.

Servicing of Metz product will transfer to Intro 2020 on 1st March 2006.
