Reviews are graded on features for movie shooting, image quality, ease of integration into current editing software programs such as Final Cut Pro and the ergonomics of the camera in cine modes.Accessory reviews are graded in terms of usefulness, ergonomics and production values obtained with them contrasted with their costs. New Website For HDSLR Movie Photographers

Now active, a new website dedicated to exploring the growing world of cameras, accessories, tech and software HDSLR shooters are interested in: www.hdslrreview.com.

HDSLR cameras are interchangeable lens DSLRs that have an HD, high-definition, movie mode in at least one HD format, 720p24 through 1080p30.

Other names for HDSLRs include Hybrid DSLRs, HD-DSLRs and Movie DSLRs. But they’re all the same thing. New also is “Cinephotographer,” the new word describing users of HDSLR cameras. Photographer, Cinematographer; it’s rapidly beginning to describe the same person.

Camera and lens reviews are carried out by Peter iNova, Uwe Steinmueller and guest reviewers on an invitational basis. Reviews are graded on features for movie shooting, image quality, ease of integration into current editing software programs such as Final Cut Pro and the ergonomics of the camera in cine modes.

Accessory reviews are graded in terms of usefulness, ergonomics and production values obtained with them contrasted with their costs.

Technology discussions include everything from the engineering that makes HDSLR cameras possible, to the “gotchas” that every cinephotographer needs to be aware of.
