Shenyang Zhongyi Optics have released three new Lens turbo adapters for Micro Four Thirds cameras.. The new adapters allow full-frame lenses with an M42 screw mount, Canon FD mount or a Minolta MD mount to be used on Micro Four Thirds cameras with a wider angle of view and faster aperture than with a regular adapter. Just like the previous Zhongyi Lens Turbo (ver II), the new MFT turbo adapter features an optical formula comprising 4 lens elements in 4 groups, including 1 extra-low dispersion element which helps reduce chromatic aberrations. The adapter modifies the FourThirds focal length multiplier of 2 by a factor of 0.726 and improves the maximum aperture of the lens by 1 stop. Available directly from Shenyang Zhongyi Optics, the adapter carries an SRP of $149.

Zhongyi Optics (ZY Optics) releases more conversions of the Zhongyi Lens Turbo Adapters (Ver II) for Micro Four Thirds cameras

Shenyang China, Jan 12, 2016 – Shenyang Zhongyi Optics (ZY Optics), a leading Chinese manufacturer of camera lenses and focal reducers, has provided additional options for Micro Four Thirds camera users by releasing three new Lens turbo adapters. The new adapters allow full-frame lenses with M42 screw mount or Canon FD mount or Minolta MD mount to be used in Micro Four Thirds cameras with a wider angle of view and faster aperture. These new turbo adapters are compatible with cameras with Micro Four Thirds mount including the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC) and work extremely well for video production.

Similar to the previous Zhongyi Lens Turbo (ver II), the new MFT turbo adapter features a structure of 4 lens elements in 4 groups, including 1 extra-low dispersion element which helps in reduce the chromatic aberrations on the image. The angle of view of the camera lenses will be increased by 0.726x and the max. aperture will be improved by 1-stop.

Version II of the lens turbo adapter has a complete different optical design from version 1 and a much improved coating. The optical performance also upgrades tremendously.
