Nikon UK is running an extensive range of training courses during the next few months. There’s something for everyone, from an introduction to DSLR photography, to a guide to Speedlight photography, to the more specialized equestrian event photography course. More Nikon training courses will be added shortly.

Introduction to Digital SLR:
Designed for first-time users of Nikon’s range of DSLR cameras, this course provides simple, clear advice to help beginners use their cameras more effectively.

Available Dates: 3 June Kingston

D40/D40x/D60:
A fast-track course for newcomers that focuses on the features and settings of the D40, D40X or D60 cameras as well as the skills needed to help achieve desired results. This course is driven by practical demonstrations and basic technical knowledge.

D80:
This course is designed to give users an insight into the advanced features, functions and shooting possibilities of the Nikon D80 Digital SLR camera.

D90:
This course is a practical based course that will demonstrate the features and benefits of the D90, including High Definition video mode and camera settings to maximise still images.

D3/D3x/D700:
Designed for users wishing to understand the technology behind Nikon’s cameras and utilise the range of features found in Nikon’s newest professional Digital SLR cameras.

D200:
This course is designed for anyone with previous experience of digital imaging or those who have experience using a Digital SLR but need to rapidly improve their awareness of the D200.

D300:

1 day course:
The Nikon D300 combines innovative Nikon technologies with advanced new features to optimise all aspects of camera performance. This course is designed to get you up to speed on its new exciting features.

2 day course:
This two-day course is designed for anyone with little experience of using a Digital SLR and need to improve their awareness of the D300.

John Clements Speedlight Level 1 Course:
Author, technical editor, photography expert John Clements hosts an introduction to the Nikon Speedlight system.

Available Dates:  May 6 Kingston; May 25 Bristol; May 10 Cambridge; June 22 Kingston

John Clements Intermediate Level 2 Course:
Master multiple Speedlight photography with this intermediate level course. It is presented by one of the most experienced and respected users of the system combining theory with the genuinely practical.

Speciality Courses:

Business of Wedding Photography – Oswin/Walton:
Award-winning photographers Julie Oswin AMPA and Steve Walton FMPA will guide you through the process of building and running a successful Wedding Photography business. They will offer a personal insight into the skills and techniques they have used to become one of the country’s leading wedding photographers. The course will cover two days and includes lunch.

John Clements Black and White Course:
From initial level to advanced capabilities, this one-day workshop is an informative and inspirational avenue to creative black and white digital photography covering levels 1-3.

John Clements Close-up and Macro Photography Workshop L 1-2:
This informative and interactive entry-level workshop offers a balance of theoretical information and practical demonstrations for those interested in learning to shoot high-quality close-up macro and micro imagery. This easy to follow course combines practical shooting situations with bite-sized theory enabling delegates to get to grips with the more specialist parts of the Nikon Imaging System.

Nikon Software and Workflow Course Level 1:
The Capture NX2 Software training course will give delegates a basic understanding of Nikon’s image editing software, a tool which helps photographers get the most from their NEF, JPEG or TIFF images. The course will also provide an overview of the Nikon Transfer and Nikon View packages which make up Nikon’s Software suite.

Multi-award winning photographer Uzair Kharawala presents this exciting day long seminar. Oz will talk how to be creative in photography and in business, by being one step ahead of your competitors!
