Nissin Di700A with Commander Air1

Kenro has announced a new version of the Nissin Di700 flash, which features a built-in radio receiver allowing it to be wirelessly triggered via the also-new Nissin Commander Air1 TTL command unit. The Nissin Di700A with Commander Air1 is a 2.4GHz radio transmission wireless flash system that links up to 21 Nissin Air System flash units in up to 3 groups. The Nissin Commander Air1 itself is a hotshoe-mountable commander unit with manual and TTL flash output control, eight radio channels and a simple, dial-based user interface. The Nissin Di700A is essentially a Di700 with a built-in receiver, which makes it capable of communicating with the Nissin Commander Air1. The kit is priced at £239.94, with the flash and commander unit also being available separately for £209.94 and £59.94, respectively. The Di700A and Air1 are available in Canon and Nikon fits in March, with a Sony version due in May.

Says Paul Kench, Kenro's managing director: "The Nissin brand has really come of age with the introduction of high quality flash guns that compete head on with leading camera manufacturers' dedicated units. Not only are Nissin flash guns very high spec but offer excellent value for money."
"The new Nissin Air System comes hot on the heels of the award-winning Nissin i40 flash launched last year, and we are expecting just as much interest from photographers in this new wireless flash system."
"While the Di700A gun has its own built-in receiver, Nissin is also planning to launch a radio receiver for non-NAS flash guns that will simply fix to the flash's hot shoe. Watch this space!"
