At the event, London Camera Exchange will be offering guidance on photography, and Outdoor Photography Gear will also have a stand. WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre provides a snappy day out at the North West Bird Watching Festival

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is hosting the annual North West Bird Watching Festival on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November offering photographers a great day out.

The event has developed this year to offer photographer’s opportunities to not only get fantastic wildlife photographs but to also get plenty of advice on taking the perfect photograph:

·      London Camera Exchange are part of the event for the first time offering guidance on photography, cameras and digi-scoping as well selling products
·      Outdoor Photography Gear will also have a stand with all of your needs to take the perfect wildlife photograph
·      There are free photography workshops with award winning photographer Martin Birchall and Ron Thomas
·      Free ringing demonstration workshops will allow you to get up close to some wonderful species which last year included Great-spotted woodpecker
·      The reserve is opening at 8am offering early morning photography opportunities
·      At 3pm you can watch the award winning spectacle of up to 1000 Whooper swans feeding right in front of you on the mere as well as thousands of shelduck, wigeon and teal.

WWT Martin Mere is also welcoming back celebrity guest speaker Urban Birder, David Lindo, as well as a host of optical manufacturers including Minox, Swarovski, in focus, Nikon, Marchwood, Forrest Optics, Kowa and Viewpoint Optiks; making this a fantastic event for everyone who has an interest in bird watching, photography, conservation or simply enjoy nature.

WWT Martin Mere is open every day from 9.30am to 5pm and parking is free of charge.
