The second new dye-sublimation photo printer from Olympus USA is the Olympus P-440 Digital Photo Printer. This is probably the new model that most photographers will be interested in, simply because it creates borderless prints up to 8x10” in size. The dye-sublimation print process offers quality that is just like a traditional professional photo lab. It uses 4-pass printing - Yellow/Magenta/Cyan 3-color and a protective overcoat, so prints should be more fade resistant than inkjet printers.

The Olympus P-10 Digital Photo Printer will ship in October with a street price of $499.
