Olympus UK Commits to DSLRs
Olympus UK plan to create a dedicated division focussed on the DSLR market, announcing the appointment of Greg Connell as General Sales Manager for Digital SLR from April 2nd. Olympus UK’s Sales Director Andy Cochrane commented “Olympus are committed to photography of the highest standard and are putting in place the products and people to achieve our goals.”

Olympus shows commitment to Digital SLR market
London, 5 March 2007 – Olympus’ range of Digital SLR cameras is set to increase over the coming year. To further build on the successful and ever-expanding E-system, Olympus UK Ltd are going to create a dedicated division focussed solely on this important sector of the market. To head this department, Olympus are delighted to announce the appointment of Greg Connell as General Sales Manager-Digital SLR.
Olympus UK’s Sales Director Andy Cochrane commented “Greg has been with Olympus for fifteen years and has gathered a wealth of experience over that time in a number of roles including previous experience with the Digital SLR market during the Four Thirds concept and launch stages. His most recent position, within Olympus Europa, has seen him lead the Digital Media department for two years and we are delighted that Greg will be re-joining us on 2nd April to drive Olympus’ UK SLR sales. Olympus are committed to photography of the highest standard and are putting in place the products and people to achieve our goals.”
Greg Connell will start in his new role on April 2nd, 2007.
