Olympus has introduced Olympus Viewer 2, the new version of its raw converter and image / movie editor. The successor to Olympus Master 2 and Olympus Studio 2 also delivers Art Filter effects for raw development as well as enhanced OS compatibility. Fully compatible with Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7, Olympus Viewer 2 will be available to E-System and PEN users as a free download from Olympus websites from early May 2010.

Olympus Viewer 2 boosts PEN software package

Hamburg, 15 April 2010 – Olympus is to release Olympus Viewer 2, the new software for editing and selecting photos and movies, and RAW file development. The successor to Olympus Master 2 and Olympus Studio 2 also delivers Art Filter effects for RAW development as well as enhanced OS compatibility. It will be available to E-System and PEN users as a free download from Olympus websites from early May 2010.

Olympus Viewer 2 offers the full range of image processing and management tools. In addition to Olympus Studio 2 favourites such as the Light Box and e-Portrait functions for RAW development, it enables PEN camera users to process RAW development files using all the Art Filter effects incorporated in their respective camera. With its editing, selection and RAW development features, the new software perfectly complements the [ib] file management software that comes supplied with the groundbreaking E-PL1. It is also fully compatible with the latest operating systems, including Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
