April 14, 2014: Profoto introduces renowned photographer Jared Platt as the new host for the Profoto webinar. Starting April 23, Jared will once a month present a tricky lighting challenge and a powerful yet simple lighting solution.

Profoto has supported the photographic community with free webinars for several years now. Over the years, the webinars have grown to become a monthly event with thousands of live viewers and tens of thousand watching the recorded video version.

Today, Profoto presents the next step in this evolution. Starting April 23, the Profoto webinars will be hosted by renowned wedding and lifestyle photographer Jared Platt. Jared will take the webinar series in a new problem-solving direction. The series’ title is On Location with Jared Platt. Each episode will start with him presenting a tricky lighting challenge. Then he will present the solution.

The first On Location with Jared Platt webinar will be broadcasted on April 23. In this, Jared will head out into the Arizona desert. The desert is an uncommon shooting location, for sure. But the tips and tricks Jared will share are useful for any photographer wanting to create a beautiful light in harsh conditions.
