Ovolab Press Release

Ovolab announces Geophoto 2 with support for GPS devices.

San Francisco, CA (USA) - January 15, 2008 - OvolabR today released the second major release of Ovolab Geophoto, its innovative application for sorting and browsing photos by location on your Mac.

Ovolab Geophoto is an all-in-one application for easily organizing and browsing photos by location, through a three-dimensional representation of the Earth. The user can pan, zoom and fly through the photos, thanks to high-resolution satellite images of the planet.

Version 2 makes positioning photos in the correct location easier, by also letting users import track data from GPS devices.

Users can easily drag their pictures to a specific location on the globe in order to pin them to a specific location. Once positioned, pictures can be shared with other users and will automatically appear in the correct location on the Earth when opened in Geophoto.

Owners of GPS loggers and other GPS devices can now perform this task automatically and precisely, thanks to Geophoto’s time-shifting and time correction features.

Geophoto automatically reads the geographical information stored inside digital photos by GPS-equipped cameras, too.

Ovolab Geophoto is being demoed during this week at Macworld Expo in San Francisco, at Ovolab’s booth S-313 in the South hall.
