This year Panasonic returns to the Focus On Imaging show to showcase its Lumix and Lumix G series digital cameras, HD camcorders and 3D imaging products. All new products will be available to explore including the TZ20 Travel Compact (read review), the GF2 and GH2 compact system cameras and Micro Four Thirds lenses. There will also e an extensive collection of HD Camcorders to sample, including the HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900, HDC-SD900, HDC-SD800 and HDC-SD90 models.

SHOW PREVIEW: Panasonic highlight Imaging Strengths at this year’s Focus on Imaging

For the second year running, Panasonic is pleased to be exhibiting at Focus on Imaging, opening on the 6th March at the NEC in Birmingham, and showcasing a range of award winning Lumix G, Lumix, HD Camcorders and the latest 3D technology.

Expected to be popular on this year’s stand is the growing range of Lumix G Compact System Cameras and Micro Four Third based Lenses. With main spotlight on the recently launched GF2, the smallest* from Panasonic and, featuring an intuitive touch control and the world’s fastest* level Light Speed AF (of approx. 0.1 second)*, the highly creative Lumix GH2.

All new products will be available to explore including the exciting TZ20 Travel Compact which will be launched in stores this month. Including HD movie recording capability, full manual control, a 24mm ultra wide angle and powerful 16x optical zoom all within a compact body – the TZ20 offers even higher standard with built-in GPS and FULL HD AVCHD movie recording. More of the upcoming spring line up of Lumix Compact will be demonstrated including Tough DMC-FT3 and sleek DMC-FX77.

Along with our Lumix line up, there will be an extensive collection of HD Camcorders to sample. From our flagship range of advanced 3MOS and 1MOS products - HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900, HDC-SD900, HDC-SD800 and HDC-SD90 - delivering the best image quality and featuring new evolved Crystal Engine PRO for better light gathering efficiency and low-noise recording even in dim lighting. An exciting addition to 2011’s line up is the ability to shoot home movies in 3D, with an optional 3D Conversion Lens, VW-CLT1. Simply attach the lens to the barrel of any one of these camcorders to create powerful, true-to-life 3D movies.

New for 2011, Panasonic will also display a couple of exciting new handheld HD camcorders, HX-WA10 and HM-TA20, due for release towards the end of April. The waterproof Full-HD HX-WA10 pistol grip enables users to shoot both photos and videos in high quality, and is also optimised for shooting outdoors and in rainy weather. The compact camcorder also has Backside Illumination (BSI) technology for shooting in dimly lit conditions and shoots 16-megapixel still image recording with top-class digital camera quality. While the HM-TA20 HD Mobile Camera has a tough design that is waterproof, shockproof and dustproof. The camcorder features a Night View mode for shooting in dim lighting. In addition, a large 3.0-inch Touch LCD enables easy and intuitive operation anywhere and anytime.
