Panasonic is pleased to announce that three of its digital imaging products have received prestigious TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) Awards. The Digital Camera LUMIX DMC-TZ1 receives Best Superzoom Digital Camera, and the Photo Printer KX-PX1/PX10 receives Best Small Format Photo Pinter and the Digital SD Slide Projector PT-P1SD receives Best Digital Photo Projector. Taking the awards in the three major categories; digital camera, printer, and projector is an accomplishment resulting from the fact that Panasonic, through its wide portfolio of consumer electronic expertise, is able to propose a total networking solution for digital imaging applications.

TIPA(Technical Image Press Association) is an independent association of photo and imaging expert editors, representing 12 countries across Europe. The prestigious TIPA Award is presented honoring the product for its superiority in quality, performance and value to distinguish the best in each classified category.

Lumix Digital Camera DMC-TZ1 for Best Superzoom Digital Camera
The DMC-TZ1 features 10x optical zoom in a surprisingly compact body with dual image stabilization by MEGA O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer) and max. ISO800 high sensitivity recording capability in full resolution. The TZ1 is an un-precedented type of compact superzoom digital camera never before realised in such a small size.

Official Comment by TIPA: ‘The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 is the world?s smallest digital still camera with a 10x optical zoom, and this is made possible by the world’s first integrated retractable lens system with folded optics technology. The TZ1 allows unlimited consecutive shooting up to the capacity of the 13.4 MB built-in memory or the SD memory card. Panasonic has also equipped the TZ1 with its globally recognised Optical Image Stabiliser feature. O.I.S minimises the jitter from shaky hands that causes many photos to look blurred. Offering high quality image output, the TZ1’s new Venus Engine III also dramatically reduces noise levels even at increased ISO settings.’

Photo Printer KX-PX1/PX10 for Best Small Format Photo Pinter
The KX-PX1/PX10 are an easy-to-use home printing solution. They are optimised for LUMIX, and then realize more beautiful photo printings by obtaining the additional information from LUMIX. Official comment by TIPA: ‘Small format printers are rapidly gaining recognition as the ideal companion to digital cameras. Their portability enables users to always print their photos, wherever they are. Panasonic has recognised the convergence of digital imaging and HDTV, and has introduced the first 16:9 format small photo printer. The Panasonic KX-PX1/PX10 series deliver outstanding quality prints that rival the best silver halide systems, and sport a stylish and compact design. Furthermore, thanks to a new over-coating process performed by this printer, prints can now keep their quality for up to 100 years’

Newly taken pictures on SD-card can be instantly viewed, complete with auto-rotation of vertical images.
