The new Phase One 645 Camera is now shipping in volume worldwide. Based on an open platform, designed to support the photographers’ choice of lenses and digital backs or film operation, the Phase One 645 is available in a choice of five different configurations. Each camera system comprises the camera body, one 80mm F2.8 lens, P+ digital camera back, and Capture One 4.1 software.

Phase One 645 Camera System now Shipping at Volume
COPENHAGEN, June 25, 2008 — Phase One has confirmed that the Phase One 645 Camera system—providing professional photographers freedom of choice—is now in volume production and shipping to customers world-wide. As promised in March 2008, system component options and full technical details are included here.
The Phase One 645 Camera body is lightweight, with a user-friendly ergonomic design. It is an open platform, designed to support pro photographers’ choice of lenses and digital backs or film operation to achieve superior image quality. The camera system comes with a warranty covering 3 years or 300,000 shutter actuations, and is backed by full support and service of a global team of Phase One dealers.
Phase One 645 Camera system component options
The Phase One 645 camera system is available today in a choice of five different configurations, based on selected digital camera back: P 45+ (maximum resolution, fine details at 39 mega pixels), P 30+ (up to ISO 1600 sensitivity, fast capture, 31 mega pixels); P 25+ (near full-frame at affordable price, noise-free exposures up to 1 hour, 22 mega pixels), P 21+ (fast, unlimited burst capacity, small RAW file size, 18 mega pixels ), P 20+ (1:1 aspect ratio, cost effective, entry-level solution, 16 mega pixels).
Each camera system comprises the camera body, one 80mm F2.8 lens, P+ digital camera back, and Capture One 4.1 software.

Focusing Screen Interchangeable: Matte(standard), checker or manual focus micro prism for M645 lenses. Standard focus screen delivered with laser engraved masking for the Phase One digital back.
Auto-Focus System TTL phase-difference detection system with 4 CCD line sensors in a I + I shape, working range of EV -1 to 18 (ISO 100).
Focusing Area Displayed on focusing screen (within an area of 10.8 x 3.6mm at center of image). Selectable measuring points are: center, right, left or auto.
AF Assist IF Beam Automatically activates under low light or low contrast. Effective range of 9m (with Mamiya AF 80mm lens). On/off selectable.
AF Lock Possible by pressing AFL button or half-pressing shutter release button in single AF mode.
Exposure Modes Aperture-priority AE, shutter speed priority AE, programmed AE (program shift possible), manual.
Shutter Speed/ Aperture Steps 1/3 steps. (1/2 or 1 step increments selectable by custom functions). Dials can be locked.
Metering Mode TTL open aperture metering, center-weighted average (A), spot (S), Variable ratio (A-S, auto).
Metering Range EV 2 to EV 19 (when using ISO 100 and 80mm F2.8 lens).
Exposure Compensation ±3EV with 1/3, 1/2 or 1 step increments (expandable to ±5EV by custom function).

Flash Synchronization 1/125 sec. in X mode, 1/125 sec. or slower in M and TV modes, 1/125 to 1/60 sec. in P and AV modes (when using SCA adapter). X sync. speed is changeable by custom functions. 1st and 2nd curtain synchronization is possible.
Flash Control TTL direct metering, compatible with Metz SCA3002 system (SCA3952 adapter is required).
Multiple Exposure Possible with the Multiple exposure button. 2 to 6 exposures with mid-function cancellation, quantity modification or unlimited shooting.
Mirror-Up Photography Possible with the release mode dial.
