Arrikon have released Photo Portal 1.1 for iPad and iPhone. The app enables you to access your entire computer photo library from the comfort of your favourite sofa, or from anywhere outside your home, using Wi‑Fi or 3G on your iPad or iPhone. Version 1.1 adds a new "Sort" option to the Settings menu, modifies the cache limit and enables users to hide the Status Toolbar. Photo Portal is available on iTunes for $4.99.

Quebec, Canada — May 8, 2015 — Arrikon today released Photo Portal 1.1 for iPad and iPhone. Have you always dreamed of browsing your photo collections without having to sit in front of the computer for hours? With Photo Portal it is now a reality. You can finally access your entire computer photo library from the comfort of your favorite sofa, or from anywhere outside your home, using Wi‑Fi or 3G on your iPad or iPhone.  With our application, you don't have to wait for your entire photo library to be copied on a Cloud Service, or to pay monthly fees for a Cloud Storage subscription.

Having thousands of photographs to look through can be a very long and arduous process, so why not make it an enjoyable experience? Photo Portal provides a fast and efficient way of accessing your photo collections, while offering the opportunity to rate, delete and remotely share your favourite pics from your computer to a social network. Our Remote Photo Viewer supports the following image formats : RAW, JPEG, and TIFF.

Photo Portal 1.1 New Features

  • Filter the View content, either by Flags, Stars or Color Labels. It is available in the bottom bar (Comparison View), next to the "Left Rotation" icon.
  • New "Sort" option. In the Settings menu "Sort" allows users to display photos from a folder following a precise order. You have the choice between: "Capture Time", "File Time" and "Filename". Either "Ascending" or "Descending".
  • Flags designate whether a photo is a pick, a reject, or an unflagged image. The Flag states are saved to XMP. (Not compatible with other softwares).
  • Hide Status Toolbar - The top Status Toolbar can now be hidden with a simple two finger tap in the Comparison View. To show the toolbar again, just single tap in the center of the screen.
  • New Cache Limit - The Cache Limit has been augmented to 1.9 Go.
  • Faster Slideshow Delay - You can now have a faster delay between slides with a minimum speed of 1 second. (Please note that this delay will not work if your server is too slow). 
  • Better feedback in the menu "Account and Web Server" - When you hit the "Join" button a progression roulette and a message are shown in the window.
