Picture childhood to help charity

A children’s cancer charity is hosting its first photography competition to raise funds to support its work.

People are being asked to take pictures on the theme childhood and email them to Children With Cancer to be in with a chance of winning.

There are two age categories, children aged 16 years or under, and adults aged 17 and over. Each entry must be accompanied by a minimum donation of £5 for children and £10 for adults.

The top prize in both categories is a day-long big cat photoshoot in Hertfordshire plus a £50 voucher for Jessops.

The five runners up in both categories will receive £50 Jessops vouchers and all 12 pictures will be used in the charity’s 2013 calendar.

To enter, people must complete an online form available at http://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk in the “support us” section and follow directions for emailing photos and making a donation.

The competition closes at midnight on August 3. Winners will be notified by August 20.
