Picture This is a friendly community that helps everyone create an outstanding portfolio. Members take part in weekly project challenges, get meaningful feedback on photos, share knowledge and inspire others to produce better work.

Picture This currently has about 5000 signed up users who have uploaded their work for the various tasks we had so far. New tasks come up every week and they are linked to helpful tutorials- both technical and creative- written by photographers collaborating with Picture This.

Budding photographers receive help with improving their skills while professionals can share their knowlegde with the community. Also the gallery of about 9000 pictures provides inspiration and support for everyone.

Signing up is quick and only takes a couple of minutes. Picture This works in conjunction with Flickr so if you are a member of Flickr already it will be even quicker. If you aren’t don’t worry, the site will lead you through the sign up process. Simply click the “Get Involved” button on top of the homepage and follow the instructions.

Picture This has also been a flagship arts series where six of the best emerging photographic talents in the UK proved their photographic talent in challenging assignments assessed by a panel of expert judges. The overall winner Elizabeth Gordon had her photography showcased in a dedicated book and exhibition of her work.
