Point101 launch new photography holiday combining culture with expert tuition; empowering people to create stylish art and enhance their home.

London 4th August 2006: Point101 is proud to announce the launch of their photography holidays to add to their art, photography and artistic holiday stable. The company will provide an artistic break with expert tuition, within the reach of every level of experience – from complete beginner to established snapper. Alongside the photography trips, this experience will allow people to create individual and personal artworks to display in their homes. Included in the price of the holiday is the chance to turn three favourite photos taken on the visit into large canvas art prints.

Breaking away from the idea of a traditional activity or artistic holiday, the experience will include an exciting contemporary style of teaching where the guests will be encouraged to experiment with their photography and become more hands on with the environment. The lessons will cover different ways of working that will allow people to soak up the atmosphere of the location and engage with the landscape.

Point101’s flagship holiday will be in the remote mountainous region of Abruzzo. Often called the forgotten Tuscany - this beautiful, relatively unexplored region of Italy contains 3 national parks, beautiful hilltop fortress towns, snowy mountain peaks and glistening white sand beaches.

The trip will cover the three main provinces of Abruzzo - Pescara, L’Aquila, Chieti. Visitors will stay in incredible locations such as Santa Stefano, the remarkably intact mountain village, which has been painstakingly restored and converted into the spectacular town hotel.

Guests will also be able to indulge themselves in fabulous local produce, including a visit to the award winning wine producers Masciarelli for a wine tasting and tour around the estate. This holiday is the first of its kind in Abruzzo and offers a marvellous and unspoilt experience of traditional Italian culture.
