“Each year our entire PolarPro team looks forward to the NAB show as a great opportunity to get product feedback from fellow cinematographers who, just like us, are looking for new ways to capture their perfection,” said Jeff Overall, CEO of PolarPro. “Since we were last at NAB, we’ve launched numerous solutions for drone and action cam shooters alike, and with the new FifityFifty HERO5 Dome and Katana Mavic Tray we are expanding that ongoing effort to squeeze the most out of these dynamic filmmaking tools.”
PolarPro FiftyFifty HERO5 Dome
Capturing epic split-level images at the water line doesn’t require expensive professional dive housings. The wide-angle lens of the PolarPro FiftyFifty HERO5 Dome was designed to capture these amazing over-under images or videos with the latest affordable GoPro action camera. Whether shooting video amid a frenzied school of sharks or still images of baby’s first underwater swim, including the above water scene adds context to imagery and the FifityFifty HERO5 Dome delivers razor-sharp results.
An easy-to-use latch system ensures the HERO5 is securely installed into the FiftyFifty’s Dome which features PolarPro’s signature optics specifically design for the new action cam. The integrated Yukon Grip provides a stabilizing hold on the camera and ensures the entire rig is buoyant while maintaining its waterproof rating down to 33 feet (10 m). The FiftyFifty also includes a neoprene lens cover to protect the optics when traveling. The FiftyFifty HERO5 Dome is expected to carry a $49.99 MSRP, and more information is available at: https://www.polarprofilters.com/products/goprodome

PolarPro Katana Mavic Tray
The DJI Mavic Pro’s compact size and high quality imaging capabilities make it a great portable solution when hiking, traveling or simply as part of the daily “go bag.” While the drone is an ideal aerial filming platform, with a little help from the PolarPro Katana Mavic Tray users can leverage these capabilities for stabilized ground shots as well. For Mavic Pro users looking to bring a more professional look to their videos, this hand-held solution provides smooth, cinematic shots that complement their aerial footage perfectly. With the Katana, the Mavic Pro becomes an all-in-one film solution that can still be reliably deployed in no-fly zones such as national parks where drones are banned.
The PolarPro Katana Mavic Tray is crafted from durable glass-filled nylon and features two sturdy grips on either side of the clamping mount that holds the Mavic securely in position. An integrated smartphone mount atop the Katana Tray allows users to continue to rely on the drone’s companion app for framing and camera controls. The PolarPro Katana Mavic Tray will carry an anticipated MSRP of $49.99, and more information on the new accessory can be found here: https://www.polarprofilters.com/products/katana.
