Pretec has announced 233X speed USB flash drives and CompactFlash cards at the Computex Taipei 2007 show. The new cards provide access speeds of more than 35MB/s. The capacities of the Pretec 233X CF card range from 256MB to a massive 28GB, and an even faster version is promised which will reach 400X (60MB/s).

Pretec Launches 233X Flash Memory Card - Highest Speed CF and USB in the World

Taipei, Taiwan, June 5th, 2007 ? Pretec, the creator of i-Disk Diamond, the smallest USB flash drive in the world, and the 2nd company to offer CF card since 1996, will launch 233X speed of USB flash drive and 233X speed of CF card, for access speed of more than 35MB/s, world’s fastest USB flash drive in the small size category, and one of the highest speed CF card in the world, at Computex Taipei 2007 (Hall 4 Booth #T202B).

Pretec 233X SSD are based on it’s popular small sized platform of i-Disk Tiny, Wave, Aqua, Gini, Jelly, etc. to re-design the electronics to achieve the “Double Capacity” and “Double Speed” objectives. New i-Disk Tiny and Wave series product can reach 8GB capacity and more than 35MB/s speed, so is Pretec i-Disk II series product. Pretec 233X 8GB i-Disk Wave is sampling now, with mass production scheduled by late this month.

Pretec 233X CF card ushers a new generation of speed and performance based on Tiger solution, which can be scalable in price/performance level; the lower cost CF card of the Tiger series can reach Read/Write speed of 35MB/s and 32MB/s; with higher performance version capable of reaching to the thundering speed of >400X (60MB/s). Pretec also demonstrates the fastest SSD in the world today at Computex, 400X IDE and SATA flash disk based on Tiger solution.
