RCP-Technik has launched the Rollei iSY and iSY Wi-Fi photo printers that allow users to print their photographs directly from a smartphone, tablet or PictBridge compliant digital camera. Both models are dye-sublimation printers that can output prints of up to 10x15cm (4"x6”) from regular photos and up to 10x45cm (4"x18”) from panoramic images, at a resolution of 300dpi. The Rollei iSY Photo Printer will go on sale from mid-February for a recommended retail price of €159.95. The WiFi version will be available for €179.95. Each printer comes with a Rollei iSY 36 cartridge. Replacement cartridges - sufficient for 36 borderless prints in 10x15cm format - are priced at €13.99 each.

Hamburg, 31 January 2013 – Ordering photos over the internet is obsolete: printing photos immediately at home is where it’s at! Because for those who like to take photos on their smartphones with Apple iOS or Google Android operating systems and want to print them straightaway, there are now finally two brilliant photo printers: the Rollei iSY Photo Printer and the Rollei iSY WiFi Photo Printer!

What we are up to: A quick party snapshot here, the little one’s first tooth there, or beloved furry family members playing with zest – smartphones and mobiles with built-in cameras have long been a firm part of the digital photo world. And with the Rollei iSY and the iSY WiFi Photo Printer, it couldn’t be easier to turn them into a sort of instant camera, as you can print out your favourite images in next-to-nothing on 10 x 15 cm paper. Even panoramic pictures up to a format of 10 x 42 cm pose no problem for Rollei photo printers.

Small but perfect design: The small Rollei iSY Photo Printer puts your photos to paper –  directly from your iPhone*, iPad*, iPod touch*, Android™ smartphone/tablet or PictBridge**-compatible digital camera. With the Rollei iSY WiFi Photo Printer, it even works without a cable! The print resolution of 300x300 dpi is thoroughly satisfying, and brilliant pictures are guaranteed by 16.7 million colours and 256 gradations. Thanks to its compact size of just 17.55 x 15.5 x 12.2 cm it quickly becomes a constant companion at any event.

Quick printing: Simply download the free Rollei iSY Photo App, connect your iPhone to the printer, select the required image with the app and off you go. After just 55 seconds the photo is ready. Both printers have an iPhone docking station as well as a load function. Smartphones, tablets, etc. are conveniently connected via USB.

All-inclusive: With both of the Rollei thermo-sublimation printers, a Rollei iSY cartridge 36 is included in the package. And it shines thanks to its patented all-in-one technology: 260 gram-paper and colour ribbon in one, with automatic cutting function, waterproof and fingerprint-resistant. The cartridge is sufficient for 36 frameless prints in 10 x 15 cm format.

The Rollei iSY Photo Printer will go on sale from mid-February in the colours black and white for a recommended retail price of EUR 159.95. The WiFi version will be available in black for EUR 179.95. The Rollei iSY replacement cartridge 36 will cost EUR 13.99 – which means a photo print in 10 x 15 cm format costs just 38 cents!
