Hanover, Germany - 9 March 2006 - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. brings its new digital photo frame for easy digital picture viewing to CeBIT 2006. The device shows pictures taken with phones or digital cameras on its built in LCD screen, removing the need for printing or storing of hard copy photos in bulky photo albums. Most notable is an embedded feature that allows easy transmission and sharing of digital photos with friends and family. “The digital photo frame with networking capability is a state-of-the-art digital device that helps users cherish their precious photo-memories without loss of clarity or fading. It also allows users to share pictures with friends and family in other locations,” said Yoon Ho Ha, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Division of Samsung. “Samsung plans to introduce more new concept digital devices throughout 2006.”

“The digital photo frame with networking capability is a new concept state-of-the-art digital device, that helps users cherish their precious photo memories without fading or loss of clarity or fading, whilst also allowing them to share pictures with friends and family in other locations,” says Yoon Ho Ha, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Division of Samsung.

“Samsung plans to introduce more new concept digital devices throughout 2006.” When used with an Internet service, the digital photo frame enables the user to upload pictures taken with a digital or
phone camera, and to send them to another user’s digital photo frame. Direct transmission from a phone to the digital photo frame is also possible, depending on the service type.

Music and video clips can be played from embedded memory, memory cards and USB memory. The 7” LCD provides a dynamic and active viewing environment with high clarity. Additional services like clock/calendar/weather forecast are also provided via the Internet service.

The digital photo frame will be first introduced in the Korean market, in cooperation with domestic Internet services.
