Samsung cements status as world leader in camera performance

London, UK, – April, 2012 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has won a series of prestigious iF awards for outstanding product innovation. The Samsung MV800 and the Samsung NX200 have both been given awards for innovation in design with the judging panel taking into account factors such as imaging power, usability and form factor.

The iF Awards, established in 1953 and judged by internationally renowned names from the fields of design, business, industry, and education are considered one of the world’s most important independent design awards. The panel praised the MV800 in particular for its slim compact design and the superior picture quality offered by the device’s unique 180 degree flip-out display. The NX200, meanwhile, was singled-out for its state of the art usability, with its 3.0” AMOLED display and ‘smart panel’ sophisticated finish.

In addition to this series of award accreditations, both the NX200 and MV800 have received glowing reviews from influential publications, such as the Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal commended the MV800 for its picture quality, commenting, “The camera is picture perfect and chic with its black magnesium and aluminum metal body weighing at just about 4.27 ounces without battery or memory card.”
