Headline specifications are similar to those of the NX1000; including a 20.3 megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor, 8fps continuous shooting, a 3-inch/921k-dot rear display, Full HD video recording at 30fps, and integrated Wi-Fi. With the free Samsung Smart Camera app, you can instantly back up the images, share them directly to social media sites and use a smartphone as a remote viewfinder and shutter release. Samsung has announced a new mirrorless digital camera with the NX mount, and has bundled it with a versatile zoom lens, an external flash unit and Adobe software. The Samsung NX1100 Mirrorless Digital Camera with a 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, is a compact mirrorless camera that features a 20.3MP APS-C-sized CMOS sensor for high resolution, detailed imagery with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800.

Samsung has announced a new mirrorless digital camera with the NX mount, and has bundled it with a versatile zoom lens, an external flash unit and Adobe software. The Samsung NX1100 Mirrorless Digital Camera with a 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, is a compact mirrorless camera that features a 20.3MP APS-C-sized CMOS sensor for high resolution, detailed imagery with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800. It supports both RAW and JPEG formats in several aspect ratios, provides manual exposure control and high-resolution continuous shooting of up to 8 fps.
As a camera designed for any level of photographer, the NX1100 also offers Smart Auto mode, Scene modes in which one can choose the type of scene of shooting and have the camera make the optimal settings, and Creative modes, in which it can add stylistic touches to the images. It is designed with a modest retro flare and an easy-to-use form factor. An ergonomic hand grip, well-placed menu buttons and top-plate dial allow for simple control of its sturdy body.

The Samsung NX1100 supports Full 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps with stereo sound, including an external microphone jack and manual exposure control in video mode. It provides a bright 3.0” 921k-dot TFT LCD monitor for clear image composition and playback and features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity. With the simple touch of a button one can instantly transfer images to the computer, smartphone or tablet. With the free SMART CAMERA app from Samsung, instantly back up the images, share them directly to social media sites and use a smartphone as a remote viewfinder and shutter release.

Included with the Samsung NX1100 is the 20-50mm f/3.5-5.6 ED II lens, which provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 30.8–77mm, covering wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives. Its one Ultra-low Dispersion lens element and one aspherical element minimize spherical and chromatic aberrations for sharp imaging throughout the zoom range, and its lightweight, compact, retractable design makes it an ideal match for the compact but powerful NX1100. In addition, the Samsung NX1100 includes the SEF-8A flash unit, which connects to the camera’s hot-shoe mount, and a DVD-ROM version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for image management and post-processing.
