Samsung Camera Press Release 13/12/04

December 13, 2004—Samsung Camera is pleased to announce the availability of a $50 rebate on its Digimax V50, Digimax V6, Digimax, V5, Digimax U-CA 4 and Digimax U-CA 3 digital cameras. The offer is valid through January 31, 2005, giving shoppers yet another great reason to choose Samsung Digimax digital cameras for everyone on their gift lists this year.

Customers who purchase any of the above mentioned cameras at participating stores can redeem the rebates by sending a complete certificate, a copy of the original cash register receipt with the price circled and the original UPC code on the camera box to Samsung Digimax Digital Camera Production, P.O. Box 9087, Bridgeport, NJ 08014.

The U-CA 3 and U-CA 4, 3 and 4 megapixels respectively, are designed to take quality images in their fully automatic modes, while still providing the photographer with a host of manual controls for more creative photographic applications. Speaking of creativity, the U-CA 3 and U-CA 4 offer users a host of creative options that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. For example, each is equipped with special software applications that allow users to create customized, animated avatar characters that can be displayed and shared on the camera, cell phones as well as the Internet.

The V50 combines a number of “world’s first” features into a stylish, user-friendly and affordable package, offering quality construction, world-class Schneider optics, a plethora of customization modes and other features to create one of the foremost digital cameras in its class. With features like MPEG-4 video compression, a 4cm macro feature, a 2.0 inch swivel LCD and compatibility with multiple external memory formats, the V50 is ideal for virtually every application.

The V5 and V6, 5 and 6 megapixels respectively, offer a number of signature V Series features and technologies, including Schneider optics, support for nine different power sources, three customizable user profile settings and a super macro feature that lets the user shoot subjects as close as 6cm away in manual mode. With a host of additional features including 12x zoom (3x optical, 4x digital), auto and manual shooting modes and the ability to record up to 2 hours of audio, the Samsung Digimax V5 and V6 are the only cameras in their class to offer all of this, plus the brilliant clarity of 5 and 6 megapixel photos.
