Ransen Software Press Release

Save time – scan multiple photos simultaneously!

Pittsford, NY:  RansenScan™ is a new, economical software utility for scanning multiple photos quickly. RansenScan™, (XP and Vista), speeds up the scanning of photo and postcard collections by using automatic image extraction.  This means that you can place several photos, postcards, images, etc. on a scanner and, in a single scan, RansenScan™ will extract the images for you.

Each individual image can then be adjusted in size and color and saved with a meaningful, memorable name – essential for later retrieval.  Individual images can also be copied to the Windows clipboard. RansenScan™‘s quick and easy interface means that you select, correct, save and/or print images in seconds, not minutes.

While printed images degrade over time, digitally saved images can be lost suddenly and catastrophically. That is why RansenScan™ has immediate printing functions included. You can print the images directly from the program, without going to any intermediate software. You can even print a single image with a caption, or several images and captions arranged just the way you like.  You can have different details of the same image on the same page (e.g. show a group photo, as well as separate enlarged portraits of individuals in the group, each with their own caption).  RansenScan™ is also ideal for this task with previously saved image files.  Other features allow old photographs to be contrast adjusted, and CMYK adjustment sliders are included to change hue, saturation, and value. Manual extraction of image detail areas makes RansenScan™ additionally valuable, without being difficult to use.

RansenScan™ works with any Twain-compatible scanner, and usually gives better automatic sub-image extraction than the proprietary software provided with the scanner.

Created by imaging software experts Ransen Software, RansenScan™ is available now at $29.95; a limited trial version is available free.

RansenScan™ may be ordered securely on-line from www.saelig.com
