Photogenic Professional Lighting has announced it is sponsoring Rangefinder’s Seeing the Light Lighting Photo Contest. The contest offers professional and novice photographers the opportunity to showcase their best images. The three entry categories include available light, studio and small flash. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme. Each of the three category winners will receive the new Photogenic PowerLight PL625DR 250 Ws Monolight with a PLIRC-2 Wireless Remote Control and a PLDIR-2 Infrared Receiver. Photogenic Professional Lighting Sponsors “Seeing the Light” Lighting Photo Contest

Bartlett, Ill. (June 23, 2011) — Photogenic Professional Lighting, a leading manufacturer of photographic lighting equipment and accessories, is sponsoring Rangefinder’s Seeing the Light Lighting Photo Contest.  In addition to providing sponsorship, Photogenic Professional Lighting is also supplying the prizes for the first place winners.

The contest offers professional and novice photographers the opportunity to showcase their best images. The three entry categories include available light, studio and small flash. Entries will be judged on
the basis of creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme.

First place winners will receive the new Photogenic PowerLight® PL625DR 250 Ws Monolight with a PLIRC-2 Wireless Remote Control and a PLDIR-2 Infrared Receiver which is a prize package of more than $900. The exemplary PL625DR 250 has a 6 f-stop flash output range from 7.8 to 250Ws and delivers accurate, repeatable power to the flash tube every flash, for consistent exposures. The PLDIR-2 is a wireless signal receiver and a digital display, ideal for lights placed on the ceiling, up on a tall stand and in a soft box.

First, second, and third place winners in each category will also win complementary admission to the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) show in 2012. All winners will be featured in an online gallery as well as the September issue of Rangefinder, along with photographer bio and write-up.
