Vista certified AlbumPlus X2 offers easy digital photo organisation and sharing

Serif (Europe) Ltd, the UK’s leading independent desktop publishing, design and graphics software developer, today announced the launch of AlbumPlus X2.

AlbumPlus X2 (List Price £39.99; upgrade prices available*) is Serif’s powerful, Microsoft® Windows Vista™ certified, digital image manager that enables everyone to easily organise, browse, search and locate digital images, movies and sounds. Offering a multitude of ways to view, print and share photos as screensavers, calendars, greetings cards, multimedia slideshows and much more, AlbumPlus X2 makes it easier than ever to enjoy digital images and media.

Get creative with photo projects
AlbumPlus X2’s wide selection of professional themed designs allow users to easily create and save a variety of photo projects, from stunning multi-page photo albums, calendars and slideshows to greetings cards, postcards and flyers, all personalised with users’ own photos. Favourite photos can also be set as desktop wallpaper with a single click and multimedia screensavers can be easily created from a choice of layout styles, to enjoy images while the computer is idle.

Share photos and entertain with image collections
Image collections can be transformed into entertaining slideshows with stylish transitions, background music and movie clips, and can now be exported to VCD format, with a choice of customisable menus, or exported as MPEG or WMV files for on-screen viewing. Images can even be sent to Internet-enabled mobile phones via email. With just a few mouse clicks AlbumPlus X2 automatically re-sizes, optimizes and attaches the image ready for sending.

Achieve stunning prints, professionally or at home
Professional prints of selected images and fun photo items, such as personalised mugs and t-shirts, can be ordered online from Pixmania’s MyPix service directly through AlbumPlus X2 and uploaded images can subsequently be viewed online. Selections of images can also be burnt to CD or DVD Photo Discs for sending to family, friends and colleagues, or Photo Discs can be taken to a local digital printer for images to be professionally printed. Alternatively, users can order Serif Photographic Paper in a single mouse click directly through AlbumPlus X2 and print their favourite photos at home on their desktop printer. Photos can be quickly enhanced before printing with the fantastic new One-Click Auto-Fix tool, and Images edited in AlbumPlus X2 can be quickly restored to their original state if required. Enhancing and printing images is so quick and simple with AlbumPlus X2.

Effectively manage digital media
The AlbumPlus X2 interface has been given a fresh new look and houses intuitively organised toolbars and menus with user-friendly icons, including new Back & Forward buttons to improve navigation. Images, sounds, videos and projects can be quickly located with the new Search Bar and easily identified in the album by re-sizable thumbnails with icons indicating media type. With search options including: my projects; star rating; import history; text searching; and unlimited user-defined tag categories, finding media and projects has never been easier. Previously saved albums from Serif MediaPlus, Serif AlbumPlus and Adobe® Photoshop® Elements can be easily imported and existing image tags can be mapped to those in AlbumPlus X2. Image metadata can viewed, and XMP data can be edited, within the new Information Window for even greater control.
