Sigma announce two new lenses for the Four Thirds System

10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
Super wide-angle zoom lens designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras now available in the Four Thirds fitting.

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM for the Four Thirds fitting.

The super wide-angle capability of the 10-20mm zoom makes it a very powerful tool for both indoor and landscape photography. The wide angle of view (94.5°at 10mm on Four Thirds cameras) offers broader perspective, and gives the photographer greater freedom of expression.

Three SLD glass elements are employed for effective compensation of colour aberration, a common problem with super-wide angle lenses. One molded glass element and two hybrid aspherical lenses, offer excellent correction for distortion, as well as all types of aberration.

This lens is equipped with an inner focusing system and HSM design providing quiet, high speed autofocus while offering full time manual focusing. It has a minimum focusing distance of 24cm (9.4”) at all focal lengths.

The non-rotating lens barrel is eminently suitable for the petal shaped lens hood (included) and circular polarizing filters.

This large aperture zoom lens has improved optical performance and retains close-up ability with a minimum focusing distance of 100cm/39.4in and maximum magnification ration of 1:3.5. This lens is suitable for taking all type of subjects such as portraits, landscape, and close-up pictures.

Two SLD ?Special Low Dispersion? and three ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) glass elements provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. High image quality is assured throughout the entire zoom range. The super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting.

This lens incorporates HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), which ensures a quiet and high-speed AF as well as full-time manual focusing capability.
