Sinar expands the Sinar m modular digital camera system
The Universal Sinar m Camera Becomes Mobile
For more than 50 years, the name Sinar has been standing for professional cameras, especially those for studio applications. Sinar has remained faithful to this tradition with the introduction of the hand-held professional 6 x 4.5 cm Sinar m camera. The latter can be used as
an ultra-fast, computer-controlled shutter with Sinaron digital lenses on the handy Sinar p3 view camera.
With the new accessories introduced at photokina 2004, like the Sinar m battery grip and the 35 mm prism viewfinder, the Sinar m camera can quickly be transformed into a highly mobile, mains-independent hand-held camera that produces digital images with studio quality. The prism viewfinder allows sporty handling in the vertical as well as the horizontal formats. Its high eye-point optics provide the complete viewfinder image at a comfortable distance from the eyepiece with brilliant sharpness: Ergonomic design at its very best, which will be especially appreciated by eyeglass wearers.
The new battery grip serves as an “on board battery” for the universal Sinar m, which now can also be used as a mobile camera. Thanks to the ingeniously well thought-out power concept, all combinable Sinar modular digital systems ? including the award-winning Sinarback 54 M and SAM ? can be energized without additional cables.
The release, which is integrated into the battery grip that attaches to the bottom of the camera and which is equipped with a tripod socket, now also permits making fatigue-free exposures in the vertical format.
