Solo Photo Book Month 2011

SoFoBoMo.org has announced a group event called Solo Photo Book Month, encouraging photographers all around the world to make solo photo books in PDF form, in 31 days, start to finish. Conceived in January 2008 by Paul Butzi, the first Solo Photo Book Month was organised in spring 2008. This year, the challenge can be completed during any 31-day period between 1 July and 31 August 2011. The book must take the form of a PDF file, which can be uploaded to the SoFoBoMo website.

Solo Photo Book Month 2011
Ever wanted to create a book of your images and have that published where anyone can view it? Well, grab your camera and get inspired, Solo Photo Book Month 2011 gives you the opportunity to do just that. It starts at the beginning of July and we’d love to have you join in to make *your* photo book in a month.
sofobomo.org provides access to the resources and inspiration for you to finally make that photography book. It is never too early to pick your theme, and the start of the SoFoBoMo is only a few short months away.
Every year people create books that tell great stories; like Bryan Willman’s “LeMans-2010”, exploring the legendary race from a driver’s perspective. Willman chooses to use a significant amount of prose, but it can be done with almost no writing; as in Denise Cicuto’s “disintegrating gargoyles” where she takes a single lens to document the eternal decay of things all around us. Cicuto?s book is also available to print on Blurb.com. The SoFoBoMo project helps photographers turn the dream of creating a photo book into a reality. It is completely free; there are no prizes and hardly any rules; it’s loads of fun and is now in its fourth great year.
SoFoBoMo 2011 is a 31-day event that can be done during any 31-day period between 1 July and 31 August 2011.
