Sony has updated its medium-format sensor roadmap. The company is planning to launch a 44x33mm, 100-megapixel back-illuminated sensor (IMX461), as well as a 55x41mm (645 format), 150-megapixel back-illuminated imager in both full-colour and monochromatic editions (IMX411) in 2018. THe roadmap also reveals that a monochromatic version of the existing front-illuminated, 100-megapixel IMX211 sensor - which lies at the heart of the Phase One XF 100 camera system - will be released later this year.
