Southampton-based Hungarian amateur photographer Tímea Kónya-Valentényi has been chosen as the second winner of Jessops’s Share your summer competition; winning the opportunity to exhibit her work across 52 Jessops store windows. On her win, Tímea said; “I couldn’t be happier to have been selected as the second share your summer winner. It’s an incredible feeling to know that my photo is being viewed up and down the country right now. Visiting my local Jessops store in Waterlooville to see my photo on display was just brilliant.” On top of a week-long window display, Tímea will also be invited to show off her work in the Olympus-sponsored Project Space Gallery in Bermondsey, London from 8th – 14th August.

Amateur photographer from Southampton wins competition to exhibit work in 52 Jessops stores

Timea Konya-Valentenyi from Southampton has been chosen as the second winner of Jessops’s Share your summer competition; winning the opportunity of a lifetime to exhibit her work across 52 Jessops store windows. This month, Jessops, launched its ‘Share your summer’ campaign; searching for seven of the very best summer snaps to showcase in the windows of its 52 nationwide stores. Timea Konya – Valentenyi from Southampton has been selected as the second winner and, after much deliberation, was plucked from the thousands of submissions to display her work in Jessops stores. On her win, Timea said; “I couldn’t be happier to have been selected as the second share your summer winner. It’s an incredible feeling to know that my photo is being viewed up and down the country right now. Visiting my local Jessops store in Waterlooville to see my photo on display was just brilliant.” Timea’s summer snap is on display for all to view in Jessops Waterlooville – as well as 51 more stores – until 30th June. On top of a week-long window display, Timea will also be invited to proudly display her work in the Olympus-sponsored Project Space Gallery in Bermondsey, London from 8th – 14th August. The exhibition will be open to the public and anyone can visit to see the amazing images that were taken during the campaign.
