Photo-on-canvas.co.uk has announced a Europe-wide photo contest called “Summer of the Century.” In cooperation with FF-Fotoschule.de, Heise Media, GFW Publishing and Photo-collage.net, thousands of participants in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands have been asked to participate in the competition, which runs until 31 August 2014. Recipients of the call for entry include over 100.000 B2C-customers of the company's webshops at Photo-on-canvas.co.uk, Acrylic-glass-photo.co.uk and their equivalents in the other language regions. Participants can decide to compete in either the “Professional photographer” or “Amateur photographer” category. Photo contest “Summer of the Century 2014”

From 4 – 31 August 2014, Photo-on-canvas.co.uk organizes the Europe-wide photo contest “Summer of the Century 2014”. Photo-on-canvas.co.uk is looking for the answer to the question “What to me makes this summer the Summer of the Century 2014?”.

In cooperation with FF-Fotoschule.de, Heise Media, GFW Publishing and Photo-collage.net, thousands of participants in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands have been asked to participate.
The main prize for the 5 best photos consists of 5 x one weekend in a 4-star hotel in Berlin. In all, there are 15 great prices with a total worth of more than £1,500.--.

Duration of the photo contest
The duration of the photo contest is 4 weeks, from Monday 4 August until Sunday 31 August (Midnight).

5 x a voucher for Photo-collage.net for a personal b, 100 x 75 cm photo collage on canvas (worth £ 100)

Participants in four language regions
Recipients of the call for our Europe-wide photo contest consist of over 100.000 B2C-customers of our webshops Photo-on-canvas.co.uk, Acrylic-glass-photo.co.uk and their equivalents in the other language regions. Additionally, around 2000 selected editors/authors of online media, magazines and blogs in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands have been contacted.

Participation by URL to the photo
Participants can join in either the category “Professional photographer” or “Amateur photographer”. The participants fill in the internet address of the online published contest photo at http://www.photo-on-canvas.co.uk/photo-contest-summer-2014/. The participating photo can be posted on a Facebook profile page, a photography forum, or a blog. A jury of four will judge the photos and choose the winners during a second judgment round.
