Switronix has announced newr power solutions for the Panasonic GH4 compact system camera. Delivering 6 times more power than the battery supplied with the camera, the Switronix PB70-GH4 PowerBase-70 Battery Pack is a 77Wh, 14.8V Lithium-ion battery designed to extend HD recording time for the GH4. The PowerBase-70 mounts under the camera and doubles as a grip, or can be attached to a camera support via its 1/4"-20 release plate or V-mount. Wired as a 14.8V battery pack, it can provide extended power for up to two additional 12VDC devices such as lights, monitors or HD converters as well as other devices requiring lower voltage. Other GH4-compatible Switronixnovelties include the Bolt 220 LED light, the JetPack X XLR power pack and the P-Tap Regulation Cable that enables users to power the GH4 camera off of any P-Tap power source.

Power Solutions for the GH4

Switronix is proud to offer power solutions for the new GH4! Shooting in 4K gets even better when you can extend the HD recording time on the GH4. Streamline the recording process as well by outfitting  your new camera with our power solutions and lighting options.

The PB70-GH4 PowerBase-70 Battery Pack is a 77Wh, 14.8V Lithium-ion battery designed to extend HD recording time for the Panasonic GH4. It includes a GP-DV-GH4 Interchangeable Regulator Block and has a 12" cable. The PowerBase-70 delivers 6 times more power than the original battery supplied with the camera.

Streamline your recording: the PowerBase-70 mounts under the camera and doubles as a grip, or can be attached to a camera support via its 1/4"-20 release plate or V-mount. Wired as a 14.8V battery pack, it can provide extended power for up to two additional 12VDC devices such as lights, monitors or HD converters as well as other devices requiring lower voltage (an optional XP power regulation cable is needed).

Power the GH4 camera off of any P-Tap power source!

The Switronix P-Tap Regulation Cable features a P-Tap connector on one end and a dummy battery that inserts into your GH4 on the other. The cable is approximately 24" long. A P-Tap output is also available on the regulator block that lets you simultaneously power accessories.

SPOTTED AT NAB

At the Panasonic booth during NAB, Switronix JetPack X system was used to power the new GH4! It offers all the power outputs you'll ever need in a super compact design. The JetPack X XLR includes:

-4-pin XLR for Camera Power

-Two powertap outputs (power monitors, lights, etc.)

-One USB output (i.e. Redmote, Tascam DR-05, other USB device)

-One 5v Lemo output (i.e. Zoom, AJA)

-One 7.2v regulated outputs (i.e. HDV Cameras, DSLRs).

-One 12v regulated outputs (i.e. Blackmagic, 12v accessories).

The JetPack includes three 1/4-20 mounting points on the bottom, as well as a "cheese" backplate, which offers additional 1/4-20.

Light Up Your GH4!

The new Bolt 220, compatible with the GH4 has a 220-watt output and was improved for convenience. The new LED light now has an independent knob for color temperature between tungsten (3200k) and daylight (5600k) that means you no longer need to mix and match between two dials for the most accurate ambient light. We have also added a dial to change the brightness from 0% to 100% with no noticeable color shift.
