The Photography Show will be hosting Lynsey Addario on the Super Stage on Monday 23rd at 16:00 to discuss her book, 'It's What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War' and some of the images featured in it. Lynsey will share the realities of working in a war zone and explain what it is that keeps her going back. In addition to Lynsey the other Super Stage speakers this year will be Martin Parr, Don McCullin, Tom Stoddart, Mary Ellen Mark, Tim Flach, Michael Kenna, Susan Meiselas and Simon Norfolk. The Photography Show - the UK’s greatest four-day celebration of photography, will open its door on 21st March. As the finishing touches are put together, there’s been some exciting developments with one of the Super Stage speakers - Lynsey Addario.

It was announced last week that a film will be made from Lynsey's book, 'It's What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War' and will be directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jennifer Lawrence as Lynsey.

The Photography Show will be hosting Lynsey on the Super Stage on Monday 23rd at 16:00 to discuss her book and some of the images featured within it. This is an amazing opportunity to see the Pulitzer-Prize winning photojournalist live in the UK talking first hand about her experiences

Lynsey will share the realities of working in a war zone and explain what it is that keeps her going back.

Tom Stoddart - A Photojournalist’s Life - 11.00, Saturday 21st

Kicking the show off at 11am on Saturday morning, Tom Stoddart will take you on a visual journey through a career that began as a local newspaper photographer to one of the world’s most respected photojournalists. During his long and varied career Tom has documented international events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the bloody siege of Sarajevo and the election of Nelson Mandela, as well as gaining exclusive access to document the lives of Prime Ministers past and present.

Mary Ellen Mark - Seeing the Extraordinary in Reality - 13.30, Saturday 21st

Winner of the 2014 Lifetime Achievement in Photography Award, Mary Ellen Mark provides an insight into four decades of photography where she has travelled extensively to make pictures that reflect a high degree of humanism. Renowned worldwide for her work, her images have become landmarks in the field of documentary photography.

Tim Flach - Who’s Upside Down - Us or the Bats? - 16.00, Saturday 21st

London based photographer Tim Flach rounds off Saturday on the Super Stage with what promises to be a thought-provoking discussion. His distinctive photographic style is derived from his concerns with anthropomorphism and anthropocentrism and his interests lie in the way we, as humans, shape animals and shape their meaning.

Michael Kenna - Influences, Inspirations and Magic - 11.00, Sunday 22nd

Don’t even think about having a lie-in on Sunday morning! The first speaker up on Super Stage Sunday is none other than Michael Kenna. Widely considered to be one of the most influential landscape photographers of his generation, Michael Kenna will discuss his influences, inspirations, ideas and techniques as he shares 40 years of photographic experiences.

Susan Meiselas - The Motivation Behind the Image - 13.30, Sunday 22nd

Magnum photographer, Susan Meiselas gives an insight into her projects to date, the motivation behind her images and their relevance to the world. Listen as Susan explains how her work has transcended beyond photojournalism through her use of archival material, on site installations, and long term relationships with communities.

Martin Parr - An Insight into the Photographer, Curator and Editor - 16.00 Sunday 22nd & 11.00, Monday 23rd

You can’t afford to miss this rare chance to hear from one of Britain’s best known photographers, celebrated for his wry social observation and peerless documentary skills. Over his 40 year career, Martin Parr has taken many iconic images, authored over 70 books and exhibited all over the world. He now serves as President of Magnum Photos. The last speaker on this year’s Super Stage is the world’s greatest living photographer working in areas of conflict - Don McCullin. Understand how he works, how it affected him and how he survived. Hard-hitting, thought provoking and inspiring. Not to be missed.
