The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) has announced the winners of the Togetherness Photographic Competition. Donna Gray ASWPP from Huntly, Scotland was chosen as the winner from over 35 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘What you looking at’ (aböve). The photo was shot using a single flash head and softbox. Donna has won a 12-month SWPP membership. The runners-up are Martin Castein and Roy Hawkins.

Togetherness Photography Competition Winners Announced

The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers have announced the winners of the Togetherness Photographic Competition.

For this competition photographers were asked to submit any image that shows the relationship between a bride and groom, parent and child, friends together, whether it be at a wedding or studio portrait session or out on location.

Donna Gray ASWPP from Huntly, Scotland was chosen as the winner from over 35 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘What you looking at’.

Donna tells us “Donna shot the image of Twins Sophia & Ethan during a commissioned newborn photography session in September. Donna works within a studio environment dedicated to newborns. The image was shot using a single flash head & soft box. 100 ISO, 50mm, f2.2, 1/125”

Donna has won 12 months membership to The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP). Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says, “This image has captured the relationship and bonding between the 2 babies, as the theme was Togetherness the image captured this theme beautifully.”

He continues, “The competition had a very high standard which made judging very difficult, the range of entries was very broad and we have seen everything from weddings to family groups and everything in between. We enjoy viewing all the images entered and we are looking forward to another bumper crop of images entered in to or next competition entitled ‘Love”.

The runners up Martin Castein from London and Roy Hawkins from the Wirral have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SWPP photographic organisation.
