Travel Photographer of the Year judges to lead Costa Rican photo holiday

Travel Photographer of the Year judges Nick Meers and Chris Coe are leading a luxury Photo Iconic photography holiday in Costa Rica from April 4th – 13 th, 2012.

For photographers, Costa Rica has it all - glorious coastline, white sand beaches, rugged volcanic landscapes, rain forests, cloud forests and tropical forests, and over 12,000 species of plants, including a dazzling variety of trees and orchids.  And it has truly spectacular wildlife and birdlife, including hummingbirds, giant anteaters, sloths, jaguars, sea turtles, humpback whales and the basilisk lizard, which can run across water.

To help participants make the most of this unforgettable photographic adventure, the tour will be guided by an experienced Costa Rican naturalist, with photographic tuition provided by Chris and Nick.  Each of these professional travel and landscape photographers has years of experience in helping photographers take their imagery to the next level - and their courses and holidays are also always great fun!

Highlights of the trip, which is run in conjunction with Strabo Photo Tours, include:

• Arenal Volcano a spectacular cone-shaped volcano, rising out of the flat San Carlos Plains
• La Fortuna Waterfall, a 70-meter ribbon of water falls into a great swimming hole, surrounded by lush tropical forest
• Ecocentro Danaus Biological Reserve, home to both two and three toed sloths
• Monteverde Cloud Forest, with trails accessing some of the most beautiful cloud forest and including the Skywalk, a series of suspension bridges spanning forested valleys
• Monteverde Hummingbird Garden and Butterfly Farm, home to 14 species of native hummingbird and 20 species of butterfly
• Manuel Antonio National Park – fantastic for wildlife - with white sand beaches fringed by the rain forest reserve

Accommodation throughout will be in excellent hotels, including the El Parador, one of the most exclusive retreats in the Manuel Antonio area.

The trip costs $4,295 (approx. £2,650) to include all accommodation, meals, photo tuition and park entrances, but excluding international flights. For further information or to book a place, please visit http://www.photoiconic.com or email [email protected].
