Winning images from the international Travel Photographer of the Year awards on display at Adventure Travel Live

The winning images from the 2009 international Travel Photographer of the Year awards go on display at Adventure Travel Live at London’s Royal Horticultural Halls from January 29th-31st (stand C10/C16). As well as enjoying over 70 stunning images, show visitors have the chance to win an Intrepid Travel 15-day Wild China trip, and can buy the latest TPOTY book, Journey Three, hot off the presses.

Go Wild in China

Show visitors can vote for their own favourite image from the TPOTY exhibition – and could end up taking their own very special journey, as everyone who votes will be entered into a draw to win an Intrepid Travel Wild China trip.

Worth over £1,100, this amazing tour combines famous sights with lesser-known destinations, heading from cosmopolitan Shanghai to the Shaolin Temple, where monks practise kung fu. It then takes in Luoyang, the World Heritage site of the Longmen Grottoes, with more than 100,000 Buddha images carved into the side of a mountain. From here, the tour continues west through Xi’an, visiting the incredible underground necropolis of the First Emperor, guarded by an army of 6,000 terracotta warriors, and then on to the Giant Panda Breeding centre at Chengdu, followed by a tour of the stunning Sichuan countryside for glimpses of rural life. The final stop is Beijing and a fabulous tramp along the Great Wall.

The glorious winning images from TPOTY 2009, 2008 and 2007 have just been published in a new book, Journey Three, which goes on sale for the first time at Adventure Travel Live. Priced at £25, Journey Three takes readers on a trip round the globe, through the eyes of award-winning photographers.
