New FxFoto Version 1.2 Expands Digital Photo Organization, Enhancement and Web Publishing

Windham, NH (February, 2004) - Triscape Inc. announces the release of FxFoto 1.2, offering significant enhancements of its easy-to-use yet feature-rich photo package. Major new features include intuitive timeline navigation, a host of new photo enhancement and creativity tools, and improved tools for publishing slide shows on web sites using the FxFoto Viewer Plug-In. The FxFoto Standard Edition is still free and the Deluxe Edition is $29.99, with upgrades free of charge.

FxFoto’s unique user interface has been highly acclaimed by users as easy to learn and use. FxFoto automatically scans for photos upon installation and organizes thumbnails by date and folder in the navigation pane. The new Timeline Bar indicates visually the location of all folders by date, and one mouse click instantly moves the user to the folder thumbnails. Unique to FxFoto, all photo navigation, timeline representation, enhancement, slide creation, and creativity features are quickly accessible from a single application window, avoiding the complexity of products using complicated and sometimes confusing windows for separate tasks.

FxFoto 1.2 also provides a host of photo enhancement capabilities usually found only in high end image editing programs. Photos can be cropped and enhanced using a rich set of image enhancement tools including red-eye correction, lightening, darkening, sharpening, softening, color fills, background textures and a host of others. A new “Improve Image” tool allows the correction of one of the most common problems in photography, over or under exposed backgrounds and foregrounds. The tool allows for selective lightening or darkening of specific areas of a photo without noticeable harsh transition edges. New creativity features have been added to FxFoto 1.2, including new frame types such as tabs and special edge effects. FxFoto provides a vast collection of creativity features including countless frame styles, text annotations, and even a clone brush for creative retouching of digital images. Frame borders can be oval or rectangular with faded and even torn edges. In addition to traditional rectangular cropping, FxFoto can also crop with ovals or any irregularly drawn shape.

The 1.2 Deluxe Edition adds improved web publishing capabilities to create pure HTML pages or sophisticated presentations and slide shows using Triscape’s powerful Viewer Plug-in. Building web based presentations is as simple as creating a multi-photo collage or slide show and using the collage wizard to create a ready made web page containing the show. After posting pages to a web site, the FxFoto plug-in automatically downloads to web browsers when viewing the presentation. Slide shows for distribution via web sites, email, or self running CD’s can literally be created in minutes. Styles include a variety of picture entrance and exit effects, 3D cinematic scrolling slides, zoomable thumbnails, and more. Also new in the Deluxe Edition is the ability to add music to presentations.

System requirements
FxFoto will run under Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. It requires 128MB of RAM and 4MB of free hard disk space.
