Collaborative agreement will take real-time photo sharing to new heights

The companies have signed an agreement with the intention to work freely together to develop, test and release products and services that leverage the viral nature of the real-time web and social eco-systems.

“TweetPhoto has quickly become a leader in real-time photography,” says Jeffrey Hayzlett, CMO of Eastman Kodak Company. “This agreement is part of Kodak’s continuing innovation in the mobile and real-time social media space.”

Representatives from each company appeared on a panel at the 140 Conference last month discussing the changing nature of photography and its central role in communication on platforms like Twitter.

TweetPhoto will also be premiering its real-time Event Photo Stream today in Los Angeles at the Underground @PDC 2009 aggregating both photos and tweets around a conversation using a hashtag. The stream will be demoed using hashtag #ugpdc09 during the event to see what people are saying about the event in real-time.

“We are striving to create innovative photo centric products and services to help our partners and customers succeed in the social media realm,” says Rodney Rumford, Co-Founder of TweetPhoto and author of Twitter as a Business Tool. “The Event Photo Stream is one of many products in a suite of tools we’ve created that companies can use to become relevant in social media to engage and interact with their customers.”
