Consumer DVD Authoring Software Now Adds Wide Range Of Disc Burning Function.

Northampton August 24th 2006 - Ulead Systems, Inc., a 16-year industry leader in video, image and DVD software, today announced Ulead DVD MovieFactory® 5 Plus, an enhanced companion to its market-leading DVD MovieFactory 5 standard version.
“When we released DVD MovieFactory 5 in March, it earned high praise for its ease-of-use and intuitive DVD authoring”, said Eldon C. M. Liu, president of Ulead.  “The Plus version offers additional creative content and templates.  Digital media enthusiasts will appreciate the expanded disc burning functionality, multi-format disc copying, support for music DVDs and Blu-ray Direct-to-Disc burning.”

More Creativity. DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus doubles the number of templates with which users can create their own personalized DVD menus.  LabelFlash technology allows burning of long-lasting disc labels using supported media and burners.

Blu-ray Direct-to-Disc Recorder. This application allows owners of Blu-ray Disc recorders to capture high-definition video from their HDV camcorders, and burn it to high-capacity Blu-ray discs in full-resolution HD video (BDAV Format). A single-layer 25GB disc can contain nearly 2 hours of full-quality HD video, and can be played on a set-top Blu-ray player, or on a PC with appropriate hardware and software.

Disc Utilities. Ulead’s Burn.Now 4.0 module offers a complete set of CD and DVD disc burning tools.  Users can use Span Disc to archive the contents of large folders to multiple DVDs, directly copy discs, or create bootable discs. 

More Music Disc Options. Burn.Now 4.0 also offers users a whole new arsenal of tools to create music discs.  Multiple albums, or long-running concerts, can be burned on to a single DVD in audiophile-quality DVD-Audio format or as unique audio-only DVD-Video discs for uninterrupted listening pleasure.  Before burning their audio DVDs or CDs, users can improve the sound quality with various filters and effects, including Click and Hiss Removal for music recorded from tape or vinyl.

Capture Support. Users can capture video from any source, including DV or HDV camcorders, HDTV or standard definition DVB-T digital broadcasts, or VCRs. Updated camcorder support now includes the Sanyo Xacti HD-1.
